Fattoro’s Purpose and Promises

Fattoro is a restaurant and food blogging site primarily based on Shanghai with the occasional New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Paris, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taipei  and Taichung being covered.

Fattoro’s critiques will be leaning towards Haute Cuisine (Nouvelle Cuisine), contemporary French/European fine dining, 小吃 or small eats (street food), and steaks.

Fattoro hopes to invest and own restaurants in the near future

Fattoro promises to have at least 1 blog per week!

Price Range

Cheap eats: 150 RMB and below

Mid Range: 150-350RMB

Luxury: 350RMB-600RMB

Splurge: 600 RMB and above

I calculate the price by taking the mean cost of appetizer, main course,  1/2 of a dessert and a cocktail

Ratings:

Fattoro rates its restaurant in respective categories.

Small eats or “小吃” will be based on food and food alone.

  • A nine course fine French tasting menu will be based on many other aspects but  not limited to:
  •  The quality of the products
  •  The mastery of flavor and cooking
  •  The “personality” of the cuisine
  •  The value for the money
  • Ambience
  • Timing
  • Service
  • Taste
  • Presentation

So yes, my rating scale is very detailed and i take a lot of time to rate and critique restaurants
